Central Park Dartford

Central Park Dartford is the main park/ recreation area in Datford located in the centre of the town.

It includes a host of facilities such as the café, ornamental gardens, outdoor fitness area, skate park, children’s playground and waterplay area. There’s even a traditional bandstand that is regularly used for concerts in the warmer months.

Split by the River Darent, which flows through the park, the southern end of the site features a number of sports pitches bordered by tree-lined paths, while at the very far south you’ll find Central Park Arena, home of the Dartford Harriers Athletics Club and Central Park Athletics.

Summer: 8am til half an hour before before sunset or 9:30pm. Winter: 8am to 4.30pm

At the northern end you have the library, Dartford Museum, war memorial and formal gardens.

There is a large recently refurbished play area that includes climbing net, aerial runway and swings and slides for older kids, plus a special area for toddlers. There is also a track for bikes and skateboards, and a fully enclosed ball games area and water play area.

The café/visitor centre is open everyday for hot and cold food.
